Question
What is the difference between using Carbon Copy's Synchronous mode vs. Asynchronous mode?
Answer
The synchronous option offers screen updates in real time, while the asynchronous mode scans the remote display and updates display changes only. The asynchronous setting provided ideal performance for viewing Java applications.
Synchronous – Remote and local computer display same information in real-time – This is the default
Asynchronous – Remote computer displays information in real-time and remote computer’s display is delayed on the local computer. – Asynchronous is useful when the user is running a graphically intense application
