After deploying the Carbon Copy agent the tray icon will appear in the client computer even if the Carbon Copy Agent configuration as the "Display the Carbon Copy Agent system tray icon" button unchecked.

Carbon Copy 6.x
Cause
The Carbon Copy agent configuration policy will not be applied until a basic inventory is sent back to the Notification Server and a new configuration files is received and apply by the agent.
Resolution
To prevent the Carbon copy tray icon from being displayed on the client between the installation time and configuration update time, create a new installation package (a batch file) to do one of the two options:
- run the Carbon Copy silent installation, stop the CarbonCopy32 service and wait until the agent configuration is updated (and the service automatically restarted).
- run the Carbon Copy agent silent installation, stop the service, use a batch / vbs script to change the "ShowClientTrayIcon=Off" to "ShowClientTrayIcon=On" and restart the service
