The Browser Selector Object installs some sample configurations. Depending on how your system is configured, you can use one or more of these samples.

After you have completed testing we recommend deleting the sample configurations.

Instructions

A single version of Internet Explorer is installed.

In Internet Explorer, type BestVirtualization in the address bar.

The browser redirects to the Workspace Virtualization site on symantec.com.

Internet Explorer 8 is installed and a virtualized version of Internet Explorer 6 is activated.

In Internet Explorer 8, browse to symantec.com.

The Web site opens in the virtualized version of Internet Explorer 6.

A virtual software layer is activated that contains a different JVM than the version in the base.

Rename the layer that contains the JVM to JVM 1.5.

Browse to yahoo.com to start the redirection.

Browse to http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml to see the version of the installed JVM. This browser uses the JVM in the layer.

Open a new browser to http://www.javatester.org/version.html. Observe that different JVMs are displayed. This browser uses the JVM in the base.
