Activity Center 7.1 SP1 HF2 Rollup Information Notes

 

This document contains the following topics:

 

Introduction

This rollup contains point fixes that were not part of the regular ITMS 7.1 SP1 release cycle. For ITMS 7.1 SP1 release notes, see knowledgebase article DOC3696. This rollup includes all fixes that are part of the Activity Center 7.1 SP1 HF1 Rollup.

 

Installation

Prerequisites

You need to have installed ITMS 7.1 SP1. This Rollup was built against ITMS 7.1 SP1.

Installation Steps

Please find attached the MSI for the Activity Center 7.1 SP1 HF2 Rollup (version 7.1.388).  All fixes have been verified by QA with positive results. 

  1. Rename extension to .MSI
  2. Copy to a convenient location (e.g. Desktop) on the Symantec Management Server
  3. Navigate to the Activity Center 7.1 SP1 MSI (altiris_activitycenter_7_1_x64.msi) found under C:\Program Files\Altiris\Symantec Installation Manager\Installs\Altiris – should be version 7.1.317.
  4. Right click on the MSI and choose Uninstall

    **Note: If you previously installed Activity Center 7.1 SP1 HF1 Rollup (version 7.1.320), then you will need to uninstall it instead. The MSI is attached below in case the file is no longer on your system.

  5. Open a Command Prompt and execute the following command line: "msiexec /i “%PATH_TO_MSI%\altiris_activitycenter_7_1_sp1_hf2_x64.msi” SKIPAIM=1"
  6. Click Next through the prompts to finish the install

*Note: Configuration of the Activity Center Solution may continue after the MSI installation has completed.  Please allow a couple of minutes for this to finish before opening the Symantec Management Console.
