How To FTP supportlogs from NetBackup 5000 and 5020 Appliances

Log into the shell menu:

1. Connect to the NetBackup 5000/5020 appliance using Secure Shell (SSH).
  In a multinode environment, be sure to connect to the storage pool authority node.

2.  Enter the logon name and password for the NetBackup 5000/5020 appliance.  By default,
  the user name sysadmin has a password sysadmin.

3.   Type:>   PureDisk
    to get to the PureDisk sub-menu

4.   Type:>   supportlogs   ftp://iosupport@ftp.entsupport.symantec.com/pub/support/incoming/xxx-xxx-xxx/
     where  xxx-xxx-xxx  is the customer's support case id.
     NOTE:   It is best practice to create the case id sub-directory on the FTP server for the customer, before
     instructing  them to upload the  PDApp_supportlogs.tar.gz

5.  When prompted for password the customer is to enter:  iS*pp8rT1
