In this model, the Symantec Message Filter resides behind a single firewall. Configure your firewall to allow port connections from your Gateway MTA server. This configuration enables the Gateway MTA server to access other servers over the Internet such as the Symantec Global Threat Center and the Symantec LiveUpdate.
