Getting a "Unable to connecto to remote server" error message when using the AuditExpress Update service

Problem
I keep getting the following error when I try to run an update with AuditExpress:

 

The underlying connection was closed: Unable to connect to the remote server.

 I am using a HTTP proxy.

Cause

Resolution

If you require an HTTP Proxy:

  1. Set the Altiris Security Management Update Service to log on as a local or Domain account instead of local system.
  2. Log onto the windows computer which runs the AuditExpress Update service as the same account which is running the service.
  3. Under Internet Explorer's Connections options set up the HTTP Proxy.
  4. Now the update Service will download new Audit Express content over your HTTP Proxy.
