You install Wise Connector on the same computer where Symantec Management Platform is installed. You install it with Symantec Installation Manager.
See About Wise Connector.
Wise Connector has the following prerequisites:
After you install Wise Connector, you must add a Wise Package Studio data provider before you can import data from a Wise Software Repository. To add a Wise Package Studio data provider, you configure a connection to the Wise Software Repository. If you have multiple Software Manager databases, you can configure a separate connection to each database.
See Importing data from a Wise Software Repository.
Wise Connector can import most types of software packages. However, Wise Connector can only import a software package that has a status of Available in the Software Manager database.
See About the types of software packages Wise Connector can import.
See When Wise Connector can import data from a Wise Software Repository.
After you configure a connection to the Wise Software Repository, you can import its data on a schedule or manually. When you import the data on a schedule, the data for all available software resources is imported. When you import the data manually, you can select specific software resources to import.
