Adding a Wise Package Studio data provider

After you install Wise Connector, you must add a Wise Package Studio data provider before you can import data from the Wise Software Repository. To add a Wise Package Studio data provider, you configure a connection to the Wise Software Repository. If you have multiple Software Manager databases, configure a separate connection for each database.

To configure a connection to the Wise Software Repository, you must be assigned the Symantec Software Librarian security role.
To configure a connection to the Wise Software Repository
In the Symantec Management Console, on the Settings menu, click All Settings.
In the left pane, under Settings, click Software > Data Provider > Data Provider Management.
On the Data Provider Management page, click Add, and then click Wise Package Studio Data Provider.
If Wise Package Studio Data Provider is not listed, you have not installed Wise Connector.
On the New Wise Package Studio Data Provider page, edit the title, add a description, and then enter the connection settings.

This page is saved in the Providers folder that is created under the Data Provider folder.
