About viewing inventory data in the Resource Manager

You can use the Resource Manager to view all of the inventory data for a single resource. You can view the basic inventory that is gathered from all managed computers. An example of basic inventory is the computer's IP address. You can also view the more detailed data that the Inventory Solution gathers. For example, you can quickly view which operating system a certain computer is running. You can also view the status of that inventory data, such as when the data was last gathered. You also use the Resource Manager to view custom inventory.

The hardware summary page includes the following sections:

Agent

This section lists the agents that are installed on the resource, the version number, the date they were first discovered, the date when the last inventory was collected, and so on.

Hardware

This section contains the details of the processor, such as the type, speed, model, sound card, RAM size, and so on.

Drives

This section contains the details of the drives that are available on the resource.

Installed Software

This section displays the installed applications and their details such as the version, the date they were installed, etc.

Users and Groups

This section contains the details such as GUID, users, group, and primary user.

This section displays the installed applications and their details such as the version, the date they were installed, and so on.

Add Remove Program

This section lists the programs that are in the Add Remove Programs of the Control Panel of the computer. It lists the name of the programs, their version number, the date they were installed, the manufacture type, estimated size, and so on.

Installed File Details

This section lists all the files that are associated with the software component installed on the computer. It displays details such as the file version, name, size, path, and so on.
