Creating a CVR environment

A Cluster Volume Replication (CVR) environment is one with Veritas Volume Replicator (VVR) running in a Storage Foundation for Cluster File System High Availability (SFCFSHA) or a Storage Foundation for Oracle RAC (SF Oracle RAC) environment..

To set up a CVR environment, you must perform the following steps:

Install and set up SFCFSHA on the Primary and Secondary replication sites
See Installing and setting up SFCFSHA on the Primary.
See Installing and setting up SFCFSHA on the Secondary.
Configure VVR to replicate between the Primary and Secondary replication sites
See Configuring VVR replication between the Primary and Secondary.
Set up authentication for replication.
See Setting up authentication for replication.
Set up replication IP addresses
See Setting up the replication IP address.
Add the Secondary
See Adding the Secondary
Start VVR replication
See Starting VVR replication.
Configure Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) to manage the CVR environment

Verify the CVR environment
