Tunable network parameters on Solaris

You can tune the following Solaris network parameters to resolve some or all of your network issues:

tcp_recv_hiwat

Specifies the default TCP receive window size, in bytes.

tcp_xmit_hiwat

Specifies the default TCP send window size, in bytes.

tcp_max_buf

Specifies the maximum TCP buffer size, in bytes.

tcp_cwnd_max

Specifies the maximum value of the TCP congestion window, in bytes.

tcp_rexmit_interval_min

Specifies the default TCP minimum retransmission time-out value, in milliseconds.

udp_xmit_hiwat

Specifies the default maximum UDP socket datagram size, in bytes.

udp_xmit_lowat

Specifies the default minimum UDP socket datagram size, in bytes.

udp_recv_hiwat

Specifies the default maximum UDP socket receive buffer size, in bytes.

udp_max_buf

Specifies the how large send and receive buffers can be for a UDP socket, in bytes.

You can tune these parameters by using the ndd command.
