Enabling resources using Veritas Operations Manager Add-on for Veritas Cluster Server Administration 4.1

To bring resources online, you must first enable them. You can use the Veritas Operations Manager console to enable one or more resources.

You must have one of the following privileges on the resources to perform the task:

  • Administrator privilege on the parent cluster of the resources

  • Administrator privilege on the parent service group of the resources

  • Administrator privilege on the parent cluster host of the resources

To enable resources

  1. In the Veritas Operations Manager console, do one of the following:

    • To locate the resources in a cluster, select Manage > Clusters.

    • To locate the resources in a service group, select Manage > Service Groups.

  2. To view the list of resources, do one of the following:

    • If you chose to locate the resources in a cluster, click the required cluster.

    • If you chose to locate the resources in a service group, click the required service group.

  3. Click Resources.

  4. From the list, select the resources to enable and do one of the following:

    • Click Actions above the resources list and select Enable.

    • Right-click on any selected row to display the shortcut menu, and select Enable.

  5. In the Enable resource page, click OK to confirm the action.

  6. In the Result page, verify that the resource has been successfully enabled. Click OK.
