About deploying add-ons in Veritas Operations Manager 4.1

The add-ons need to be downloaded and deployed in Veritas Operations Manager.

For example, to administer a UNIX managed hosts from the Management Server, download and deploy Storage Foundation Administration for Unix Add-on on Management Server. To administer a Windows managed hosts from the Management Server, download and deploy Storage Foundation Administration for Windows Add-on on the Management Server. To enable template-based storage provisioning from Management Server, you must download and deploy Veritas Storage Foundation Add-on for Storage Provisioning on Management Server.

The following Veritas Operations Manager add-on is deployed along with the Management Server installation:

Veritas Operations Manager Add-on for Veritas Cluster Server Administration
Veritas Operations Manager Add-on for Storage Foundation Administration

For more information on the Veritas Operations Manager add-ons and their supported versions, refer to the Veritas Operations Manager Hardware and Software Compatibility List (HSCL).

Note:

When you install the add-on in high availability and high availability-disaster recovery (HA-DR) environment, you need to install the add-ons manually on all the nodes of high availability and high availability-disaster recovery cluster before using them for the configuration. Avoiding this step might result into configuration loss when the Management Server failovers to other nodes in the high availability and high availability-disaster recovery cluster.
