Viewing the overview of an organization entity enabled for capacity planning using Veritas Operations Manager LDom Capacity Management Add-on 4.1

Use this page to view the properties of an organization entity that is marked for LDom capacity planning. It includes the details about capacity planning faults, the configured LDoms, and the clusters in the organization entity.

  • Capacity planning faults

    • Possible Cause: The possible causes of the faults that are generated during LDom capacity planning for the organization entity. For example, a cluster's managed host is not added to the organization entity.

    • Faulted Entity: The name of the faulty entity.

    • Fault Source: The source of the fault occurrence.

    • Time: The date and time when the fault was detected.

  • Clusters in organization entity

    • Name: The name of the cluster in the organization entity.

    • Available VCPU count: Available VCPU count for the cluster.

    • Available Memory: Cluster's available memory.

    • Distribution: LDom distribution.

    • Online LDoms: The number of online LDoms on the cluster.

    • Offline LDoms: The number of offline LDoms on the cluster.

    • Reserved LDoms: The number of reserved LDoms on the cluster.

    • Primary Domain VCPU count: The primary domain VCPU count for the organization entity.

    • Primary Domain Memory: The primary domain memory for the organization entity.

  • LDoms in organization entity

    • Name: The name of the configured LDom in the organization entity.

    • Physical Server: The physical server where the LDom is configured.

    • Service Group: The name of the service group for the LDom.

    • Cluster: The name of the cluster where you have configured the LDom.

    • State: The present state of the LDom.

      • Offline: It indicates that the LDom resource is already configured but it is in the offline state in Veritas Cluster Server.

      • Online: It indicates that the LDom resource is configured, and it is in the online state in Veritas Cluster Server.

      • RESERVED: It indicates that the LDom is assigned against a cluster in Veritas Operations Manager using LDom space reservation wizard.

    • VCPU count: The VCPU count for the LDom.

    • Memory: The allocated memory for the LDom.

    • Reserved By: The user details who reserved the LDom on the cluster node.

    • Reserved At: The time and date when the LDom was reserved.

    Note:

    Use Update Reservation option to update VCPU count, and memory for one or more LDoms. However, you cannot update reservation for the LDoms that are online.

To view the overview of an organization entity enabled for capacity planning

  1. In the Veritas Operations Manager console, click Solutions.

  2. Under the Server capacity planner for LDoms section, click Organization entities enabled for server capacity planning.

  3. In the Organization Entities marked for capacity planning section, you can view all the organization entities that are marked for LDoms reservation.

  4. Click the required organization entity to view its details.
