Veritas DMP Maintenance Associations Report for understanding the relationship between the DMP paths to be disabled and other datacenter resources

This topic apples to Veritas Operations Manager 4.1

Use this wizard panel to understand the relationship between the Dynamic Multipathing (DMP) paths that you want to disable and other resources in your datacenter. With DMP, you can avoid the disruptions that can occur in the access to your storage resources when you need to perform upgrades and maintenance. This report helps you identify the related applications so that you can inform the appropriate persons about the upcoming maintenance action.

Description

Selected Enclosure

Name of the enclosure that contains the array ports to which the DMP paths that you want to disable are associated. If you are performing the DMP maintenance on an initiator, the selected enclosure is not displayed in this report.

Case Name

Name of the DMP maintenance case that you entered

Associations for Array Port

Selected array port on which you want to disable the DMP paths

Business Entities

The details of the business entities that are associated with the selection

Hosts

The details of the hosts that are associated with the selection

Volumes

The details of the volumes that are associated with the selection

Disks

The details of the disks that are associated with the selection
