Symantec AntiVirus 10.x Corporate Edition (SAV) will reach its scheduled End-of-Support-Life (EOSL) on July 4, 2012. Virus definitions, maintenance updates, and technical support will no longer be available for this product. The recommended upgrade path is to replace SAV 10.x with Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 (SEP 12.1).
Customers who plan to continue using SAV 10.x beyond this date may submit a request for an extension of virus definitions and partial support for up to one year from the scheduled EOSL. Extensions will be available for 1, 3, 6, 9, or 12 month terms starting at the EOSL date. Extensions must be purchased prior to July 4, 2012. Only one extension may be purchased. There is a flat fee for each month of extension requested, regardless of how many nodes are deployed. The extension is valid only on Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, and Windows 2008 operating systems. Definitions for any other operating system may be possible for an additional fee. The virus definitions provided during the extension period are only valid on SAV 10.1 MR8 and higher.
