A new option (vxdg -o transretry=retrylimit) was added through 5.1 SP1 RP1 (on HPUX) and 5.1 SP1 RP2 (on AIX, Solaris, Linux) . We are eliminating this option in the upcoming new release. This option will no longer be available after 5.1 SP1 RP1 P2 (on HPUX) and 5.1 SP1 RP2 P3 (on AIX, Solaris, Linux).
The options for the previous vxdg commnad are higlighted below:
<snip>
vxdg [-f] [-o verify|override] [-o expand] [-o transretry=retrylimit] move
src_diskgroup dst_diskgroup objects ...
vxdg [-f] [-o verify|override] [-o expand] [-o transretry=retrylimit] split
src_diskgroup dst_diskgroup objects ...
vxdg [-f] [-o verify|override] [-o transretry=retrylimit] join src_diskgroup
dst_diskgroup
<snip>
