[12106] Rule retrieval aborted

Error code: 12106

Error text: Rule retrieval aborted

Affected module: conduit

Product version: Symantec Brightmail Gateway 8.0, 9.0, and Symantec Messaging Gateway 9.5


This warning appears in conduit_log. This error occurs intermittently during transfer of statistics of processed messages from Symantec Brightmail Gateway to BLOC through HTTPS.

Possible conditions:

The most common cause is that the HTTPS connection between Symantec Brightmail Gateway and BLOC is momentarily broken. This issue also occurs if the remote BLOC server is temporarily inaccessible.


If the error does not continue to occur, it can safely be ignored as the system corrected itself. Otherwise, examine the conduit log for additional the error messages that may help to determine the root cause, and correct those problems accordingly. If the issue persists, contact Symantec customer support for further assistance.
