License Analysis in Veritas Operations Manager Enterprise Server 5.0

The License Analysis package is one of the reporting packages that ships with Veritas Operations Manager Enterprise Server.

The License Analysis package has the following namespaces:

  • The License Deployments Analysis namespace provides detailed information about license deployments. You can categorize the license deployment counts by product name, category, version, or edition. These metrics are provided for each host, so you can create business view-based summaries of these metrics.

  • The License And Product Analysis namespace provides counts by product. For example, you can show the number of hosts, license deployments, unique licenses, or expired licenses for a product. These metrics only apply to products, so you cannot use them to generate business view-based summary reports.

  • The License and Host Analysis namespace includes license summary metrics. License summary metrics provide an inventory of license deployments (by host) for license deployments, and the number of unique licenses and expired licenses. You can summarize the License and Host Analysis metrics by business view if the business views contain host objects.
