Deleting business views using the command line interface in Veritas Operations Manager Enterprise Server 5.0

You can delete a Veritas Operations Manager Enterprise Server business view using a command-line script.

Warning:

When you delete a business view, you can no longer use it in reports. As a result, all existing reports that use the business view no longer work properly. Because of this issue, we recommend that you do not delete business views.

To delete a business view using a command-line script

  1. Open an operating system console and log in to the Enterprise Server as a user with administrator-level privileges.

  2. Change to the Veritas Operations Manager Enterprise Server bin directory. By default, this directory is located as follows:

    \Program Files\Veritas\VRTSvomer\bin

  3. To set your environment variables, type the following command:

    create_ccer_env.bat

  4. To delete a business view, type the following command:

    bv_import_csv.bat -x business_view_file

where business_view_file is the file name of the business view that you want to delete.

Veritas Operations Manager Enterprise Server deletes the business view. You can no longer run the reports that use the business view.
