Configuring Enterprise Server settings in Veritas Operations Manager Enterprise Server 5.0

You can configure the following Veritas Operations Manager Enterprise Server settings.

Type of setting

Description

Analytics Gathering settings

Enable or disable analytics gathering.

Optionally specify a proxy server for analytics gathering. For the server name, specify either fully qualified domain name (FQDN) or IP address.

Data Retention settings

Trend data is maintained at daily granularity for the first 360 days. Any data older than 360 days is automatically summarized by week, month, quarter, and year. Daily samples older than 360 days are purged. By default all trend data older than 3 years is automatically purged.

You can change the default setting to a value between 3 years and 10 years, specified in months.

Roll-up settings

Enable allowing partial data loads to succeed if an error occurs during rollup. Enabled by default.

Specify the number of roll-up archives to retain for each roll-up source. The default is 10.

To change settings for the Veritas Operations Manager Enterprise Server

  1. In the Veritas Operations Manager Enterprise Server console, select Settings > Enterprise Server.

  2. In the Enterprise Server Settings view, click the tab for the settings you want to change, make the changes, and click Save Settings.
