Saving an ad hoc report in Veritas Operations Manager Enterprise Server 5.0

You can save a Veritas Operations Manager Enterprise Server ad hoc report in a public folder to share your report with others. You can also save reports in your private folder so that only you can see them.

To save a report

  1. In the Query Studio page showing your report, click the Save or Save as icon.

  2. In the Save as panel, enter a name and optionally a description and screen tip.

  3. To save the report for private use, select My Folders. To share reports, select a public folder.

For shared reports, use a public folder that is separate from the package folders or Sample Reports folder. To create a new public folder in which to save your report, do the following steps:

    • Click Select another location.

    • Navigate to the Public Folders directory.

    • Click New Folder in the lower right of the screen. Type a folder name and click Finish.

    • Select the new public folder as the location in which to save your report and click OK.

The new folder will be displayed in the Reports tree on the Home page once the Home page is refreshed.

  4. In the Save As panel, click OK.
