Disk Group Analysis in Veritas Operations Manager Enterprise Server 5.0
The Disk Group Analysis package is one of the reporting packages that ships with Veritas Operations Manager Enterprise Server.
Use the Disk Group Analysis package to view the metrics that are related to individual disk groups.The package also includes File System Analysis Metrics and the Volume Size metric.

Metric | Description |

Capacity | The total capacity available on the disk group (in gigabytes). |
Free Capacity | The capacity available to create volumes. |
Used Capacity | The total disk group capacity on the hosts that have volumes on them. |
Percent Free | Available disk group capacity (represented as a percentage value). |
Percent Used | Used disk group capacity (represented as a percentage value). |

Metric | Description |

File System Capacity (GB) | The total amount of storage allocated to the file system. The allocated capacity can include storage from arrays, NAS, and directly attached disks. |
Unused Capacity (GB) | The amount of storage allocated to the file system that is not being used (i.e. no data is yet written to it). |
Used Capacity (GB) | The amount of storage allocated to the file system that is being used (i.e. data is written to it). This includes data that is being used by applications and databases.

% File System Capacity Unused | The percentage of storage allocated to the file system that is not being used (i.e. no data is yet written to it). This value is calculated by dividing Free Capacity (GB) by Allocated Capacity (GB). |
