How to use the Clearwell Support Feature: Source Locator

Resolution 

Step 1: Verify

-Go to System tab -> Support Features -> Source Locator Modifier

-Under the Source Locator Modifier

Step 2: (optional): Choose an Appliance: <enter the servername>

Step 3: Please enter the following parameters.

               Within Case <chose your case>

               Operation: VERIFY

               Source: <original location>

               Destination: <new location>

Click Submit (this will verify the locations in our database) Here is a screenshot.

 Step 2: Execute

-Under the Source Locator Modifier

- Change the Operation VERIFY to EXECUTE

- Leave the source and destination the same

Source: <original location>

Destination: <new location>

Check “Save output to file as TXT”

Click Submit (the submit button will turn gray) it may take some time if it is a large case. When it is finished it will provide a link to database results. Something like: D:/CW/<esahome>/scratch/support/esadb/locatormodifier-20110309165958.txt.
 If the UI times out, you should look for a file in this location: D:/CW/<esahome>/scratch/support/esadb/locatormodifier-20110309165958.txt

After you change the locations, you will need to run post processing by changing the following property…

        Go to System Tab -> Additional Tasks -> Support
        Under "Step 1: Choose a support feature", select Property Browser
        Step 2 (optional): Choose an Appliance, do not change
        Select the case (or system)*, select case
        Under Case select the case name.
        Under "Name of property to change", enter esa.postproc.doclocator.clear.time
        Under "New value (leave blank to remove)", enter 0
        Check this option, "Confirm change. Are you sure?*"
        Click on Submit (It will provide a confirmation of the change.)

Also, you need to change two more properties if you made a change to “Extracted email files to:” & “Place converted files in:” under Case Settings. If you did not, you will not need to change these properties.

Go To Case tab -> Settings -> Configure processing parameters and features. -> “Extracted email files to:” & “Place converted files in:”   Please see the red circle location. If they are changed to an external location, you must change the property below.

These are case settings. Please the property instructions above.

esa.case.convertedFilesDir   = <new location for the converted OST/MBOX files>

esa.case.extractedFilesDir   = <new location for the extracted PST from LEF files>

Once these properties are changed, please verify the messages are showing. The Sources page should show the correct location too.
