Under certain circumstances, there might be a need to reset the Adobe flash cache on a browser.  As Clearwell utilizes flash for a healthy percentage of the application, use the following directions to reset the cache and increase the storage size.

Resolution

  1. Point the browser to the following URL: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html.
  2. Select your Clearwell server name (or proxy site) and click the "Delete website" button. This will clear the flash cache, the next time you login it will reload it.
  3. Using storage setting, move the slider in the middle of the Flash applet. By default it assigns the storage to 100 KB, make sure its about 1 MB.
  4. Make sure you check the option "Never Ask Again"

If the affected Appliance or Browser does not have web access (as can sometimes be the case), please visit http://forums.adobe.com/message/4278569 for instructions on how to clear the cache manually.
