Sometimes, the IGC configuration on a Clearwell appliance may go awry, due to change in system configuration, a poor reboot, or otherwise.  In these circumstances, the administrator may need to reinstall IGC as a part of the remediation effort.

In order to accomplish this, you will need:

  1. EsaIGC-services account and Password
  2. IGC installer

1.  How to find the Esa IGC service account

 

  • Log into the Server and Open the Service panel (start > run > services.msc)
  • Look for the EsaIGC* lines, Log On As column is the account need for this task. (i.e. Administrator)

 

2.  Where to find the IGC Installer

  • Check the version from our FTP download site    

      

  • Check the Installer files are already downloaded

             
 
 
Resolution #1

For Clearwell 6.6 and older, the steps are amanuall uninstall and reinstall of IGC which requires a server reboot.

  • Log onto the Clearwell server as the IGC service account on the server
  • Uninstall current IGC
  • Go to Add Remove Programs or Program and Features

  • Remove Brava! Enterprise and Redact-It Enterprise, IGC Writer, AND Clearwell Prerequisite Software Installer 6.5 or 6.5.1
  • Reboot the server
  • Login as IGC account
  • Delete Folder: D:\IGC (If still exists after reboot)

RE-Install IGC using the IGC Installer

  • Unzip the ReinstallIGC folder/zip and double-click on setup.exe

 

  • Follow Installation prompts and Enter Password when prompted.
  • Reboot is a required step during the Install
  • Configure CSF Writer
  • Log back into the server and open Printers and Faxes or Devices and Printers
  • Set the CSF Writer as Default Printer           

  • Right-Click on CSF Writer
  • Select Properties or Printer Properties or Printing Preferences
  • Make sure that Start Application is directed to D:\IGC\IGC-Writer\Net-ItNow.exe, and and verify settings below:

               

Resolution #2

For Clearwell 7.1.1 and above there is a utility that un-installs, reinstalls and configures IGC without needing a server reboot.

  • Log onto the Clearwell server as the IGC service account on the server
  • Open windows explorer and navigate to D:\CW\V711\utilities\IGCAdmin

  • double click on setup.exe, accept all the defaults.
