About managing service groups using Veritas Operations Manager Add-on for Veritas Cluster Server Administration 5.0

Service groups are associations of the hardware and the software resources that function together as a running instance of a highly available application in a cluster. Identically-configured service groups are redundantly distributed among the nodes in a cluster to enable failover.

In the Veritas Operations Manager console, the Service Groups tab in a cluster view, or the Service Groups view enables you to do the following:

  • Collectively manage multiple service groups

  • Singly manage individual service groups
