Deleting service groups using Veritas Operations Manager Add-on for Veritas Cluster Server Administration 5.0

You can use the Veritas Operations Manager console to delete one or more service groups that are no longer required.

You must have one of the following privileges on the service group to perform the task:

  • Administrator privilege on the parent cluster of the service group

  • Administrator privilege on the service group

  • Administrator privilege on the cluster host of the service groups

To delete service groups

  1. In the Veritas Operations Manager console, do one of the following to locate the service group:

    • To locate the service group in a cluster, select Manage > Clusters and click the required cluster to view its details. Click Service Groups.

    • To locate the service group in the list of all service groups, select Manage > Service Groups.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Select the check boxes to select the service groups to be deleted. Click Actions above the service groups list and select Delete.

    • To delete a single service group, right-click on the row of the service group to display the shortcut menu. In case of multiple service groups, first select the check box for each service group, and then, right-click on any of the rows to display the shortcut menu. From the shortcut menu, select Delete.

  3. In the Delete Service Group page, click OK to confirm the action.

  4. In the Result page, verify that the operation was successful. Click OK.
