Veritas Operations Manager 5.0 has a few paid features that you can use by enabling Veritas Operations Manager Advanced features on Management Server. These features include:
Discovery of hosts that do not have Veritas Storage Foundation and High Availability (SFHA) products from Symantec installed on them and instead using the native operating system vendor's storage management tools. This discovery can be done using an agent or an agentless mechanism.
Discovery of network-attached storage (NAS)
After Installation or Upgradation to Veritas Operations Manager 5.0, all the Veritas Operations Manager Advanced features are available to the users. You can view the VOM Management Entitlement Report on Management Server to be aware of your licensing status for the Veritas Operations Manager Advanced features. To enable or disable the Veritas Operations Manager Advanced features you need to accept an End Users License Agreement (EULA).
If you do not use the Veritas Operations Manager Advanced features, a message in the footer of Veritas Operations Manager console displays that the Advanced features are not activated. If you use the Veritas Operations Manager Advanced features without accepting the EULA, the license information is displayed as Demo license and you are prompted to enable the features by accepting EULA. Once you accept the EULA, the license information changes to Permanent license.
