About setting up your own LiveUpdate server

The LiveUpdate Administration Utility lets you set up an intranet HTTP, FTP, or LAN server, or a directory on a standard file server to handle LiveUpdate operations for your network.
The LiveUpdate Administration Utility is available on the Mail Security product CD in the following location:

If you set up your own LiveUpdate server, you must edit the LiveUpdate configuration for Mail Security to point to the local LiveUpdate server.

: If you use LiveUpdate Administrator to push definitions to Mail Security Servers , include the product Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange 7.0 to your product list in the LiveUpdate Administrator.
