You want to know how to download and use the Intelligent Updater for your Symantec product.

Solution

The best practice for maintaining security with Symantec Antivirus is to use LiveUpdate to keep your virus definitions up to date. For more information about using LiveUpdate, see the document Updating virus definitions on a daily basis with Symantec AntiVirus : http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security.nsf/docid/2005092109545048. The Intelligent Updater is provided as an alternative for situations where LiveUpdate is unavailable or undesirable.
