Please refer to Best Practices for Disaster Recovery with Symantec Endpoint Protection incase you have to revert back to original settings
  • Back up the embedded database using the Database Backup and Restore Wizard.
  • Uninstall the SEPM.
  • Reinstall the SEPM to another disk or another system.
  • Restore the embedded database using the Database Back Up and Restore Wizard.

    Note: If you change the IP Address or Hostname of the system please refer to the "Restoring client communications with a database backup" section of the
    Best Practices for Disaster Recovery with Symantec Endpoint Protection document for restoring communication to the clients managed by the SEPM.
