How to disable "Network Threat Protection" in a Symantec Endpoint Protection client.

Symptoms
You need to disable "Network Threat Protection" on an unmanaged client because it is behind a hardware firewall or for some other reason



Solution



To disable "Network Threat Protection", follow the steps below:
    1. Open the Symantec Endpoint Protection user interface
    2. Select Status.
    3. Click the Options button for Network Threat Protection.
    4. Select Disable Network Threat Protection from the drop down menu.



    To enable "Network Threat Protection", follow the steps below:
    1. Open the Symantec Endpoint Protection user interface
    2. Select Status.
    3. Click the Options button for Network Threat Protection.
    4. Select Enable Network Threat Protection from the drop down menu.
