Manually uninstalling Symantec System Center 4.x

Solution

Before you begin: This document shows how to manually remove the Symantec System Center only. Please make sure that you remove the snap-ins before you manually remove Symantec System Center.

The easiest way to remove Symantec System Center is to run the uninstaller program from Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel. If you cannot remove the program this way, then you must remove it manually from these three places:

    • Intel Alert Handler
    • Intel Originator
    • Intel File Transfer
    • Intel PDS
    • Norton AntiVirus Server or Norton AntiVirus Client
    • Symantec System Center
