Technical Solution


When installing Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh 10 on a computer with Mac OS X 10.3.x, LiveUpdate updates the virus definitions and version of Norton AntiVirus to version 10.0.1. When LiveUpdate completes, the following error message appears: "Norton Auto-Protect could not continue. Please run LiveUpdate or reinstall Norton AntiVirus and restart. (Code 7)"


Restart the computer to solve the problem. There is no need to reinstall Norton AntiVirus or run LiveUpdate.
