Problem
Can "chkdsk /f" be run on an encrypted HDD?
Solution
For SEE-FD, Windows CHKDSK /F may be used from within Windows and the Access Utility.
From within the Access utility, CHKDSK /F is supported from within a Windows shell after logging in as a Client Administrator.
CHKDSK /R may be used; however, there is a caveat. If CHKDSK /R finds and marks bad sectors within the SEE-FD Client Database files then the next boot of SEE-FD may error out and require the customer to run the SEE-FD Recover utility to repair the Client Database.
It is not recommended to use chkdsk with the "/x" switch as this will forcibly unmount the volume which is likely to cause problems with the SEE filter driver.
