Problem
How to debug Sygate Secure Enterprise (SSE) 4.1 on Solaris?
Solution
Enabling debugging on the Sygate Management Server (SMS) running on Solaris will allow extra information to be saved to the standard Sun One (iPlanet) web server logs.
To enable debugging follow these steps:
- Change the "DebugLevel" setting to 5 in the web.xml file found in :
/opt/sms35/WEB-INF/web.xml
- Change the Debug level setting to "INFO" in the server.xml file found in:
config/server.xml
- Restart the iPlanet web server
- Additional information will now be saved in the standard iPlanet error and access log files under:
/opt/SUNWwbsvr/https-/logs
For troubleshooting issues with the SSE 4.1 product and the iPlanet web server on Solaris the following are the most relevant configuration files:
- config/server.xml
config/magnus.conf
config/obj.conf
config/server.policy
