How to view cleaning statistics for a tape device within Backup Exec 9.x and above
Solution
To view cleaning statistic information about a tape device used within Backup Exec , perform the following Steps :
1. From the Backup Exec GUI, select the Devices tab, right-click on the Tape Device and then select Properties.
2. Click on the Cleaning tab
3. Check the Last Cleaning Date and the Hours since last cleaning to determine if the device requires cleaning as per manufacturer specifications.
