You cannot remove Symantec LiveState Recovery 3.0 or V2i Protector 2.0 through the Microsoft® Windows® Add/Remove Programs feature. You need to know how to remove the programs.

Solution

Symantec recommends the use of the Add/Remove Programs to remove LiveState Recovery 3.0 or V2i Protector 2.0. If this feature does not function properly, then to assist in the removal of these programs, download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility.

To install and execute the utility
  1. After you download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility, double-click the program to install it.
  2. After you install the program, on the Windows taskbar, click Start > Programs > Windows Install CleanUp.
  3. In the list of programs, click LiveState Recovery or V2i Protector.
  4. Click Remove.
You may also see (all users) 3.0.0.0000 in the list. This is a part of LiveState Recovery. Click it to select it, and then click Remove.
  5. Click Exit to exit the program.
