Problem
Lenovo ThinkCentre M55 and M55p BIOS issue with iCommand 3.0 and LiveState Delivery 6.x boot agent
Symptoms
DHCP is configured with option 67, and it points to the boot agent (boot.ovl) from iCommand or LiveState Delivery
- The Lenovo ThinkCentre M55 and M55p computer is configured to perform a "network" or PXE boot
- The Lenovo ThinkCentre M55 and M55p BIOS version is dated prior to March 18, 2007
- The Lenovo ThinkCentre M55 and M55p computer hangs or loops as it attempts a "network" or PXE boot
Cause
There was an issue in the BIOS for Lenovo ThinkCentre M55 and M55p computers.
Solution
For Lenovo ThinkCentre model M55, please update the BIOS to version 2JKT32A (dated March 18 2007) or later. Following is a link to the Lenovo web site, where you can download the BIOS:
