PcAnywhere 11.x / 12.x ADS authentication is slow

Problem
When trying to connect to a host on a remote site the connection needs several minutes to start.
Symptoms
After starting to connect to a host the authentication needs several minutes before the session is available. After the connection has been made the speed is normal again.
Solution
Add the following registry key on the HOST machine:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\pcAnywhere\CurrentVersion\Host
"QuickADSGroupAuth"=dword:00000001
Technical Information
The QuickADSGroupAuth Key can be used to make ADS group authentication faster. The key does not bypass domain authentication, it change authentication to a different API that is used and is faster.
A known disadvantage of the QuickADSGroupAuth registry key is that it does not work in case of cross-domain authentication.
