This is a cumulative Hotfix consisting of the following Hotfixes.

    During DirectLogin activation, if the PSS URL for DirectLogin is incorrect, then an error message appears in spite of clicking OK on the message box which states - The PSS URL that you have provided for DirectLogin setup is invalid. If you wish to continue, click OK to save.
HF 102
    PSS v8.00 does not support enumeration of Domain Local Security Groups in the PSS Server domain in the Delegation of Administrative Tasks functionality.
HF 103
    User gets an ODBC error when trying to access a profile in PSS. The error is caused by using a Domain User or IUSR* account for Anonymous Access in IIS.
HF 104
    Errors found in Audit database regarding OLE and 'Switched virtual circuit is partial' during enumeration of objects for eDirectory namespace for server Netware 4.11.

    When configuring Virtual Site- If Host header info is supplied during Inet setup, then incorrect URL gets generated for Password Self Service Employee and Admin portals.

Enhancements for v8.00
This Hotfix provides following enhancements:
  • Performance improvements for cached data collection operation.
  • Filtration support for Active Directory domain users based on Organizational Unit or container.
  • New reports for administrators for viewing Help Desk activities.
  • View unmapped accounts from Identity Manager.
  • Native password policy support for Active Directory users during password resets on Password Self Service Employee portal.
  • Enhanced Directlogin support for locked workstations.

Known Issues
  • In Help Desk reports, the Export to CSV option may produce an invalid CSV file if the first name or last name of the searched user contains any special character such as comma (,).

Prerequisites
The following products must be installed and configured before installing this Hotfix:
  • BindView Password Self Service v8.00.
  • Service Pack 3 or above installed on MSSQL Server 2000 or MSDE 2000.


IMPORTANT: The database server used by BindView Password Self Service must be MS SQL server 2000 or MSDE 2000 with Service Pack 3 or above. BindView Password Self Service v8.00 may not function correctly after installing the Hotfix if Service Pack3 or above is not installed for MS SQL/MSDE 2000.


Installing the Hotfix
You must have administrative privileges on the computer where you are installing this Hotfix. Before installing the Hotfix, all bv-Admin applications must be closed.

To install the Hotfix:
  1. Extract the contents of the Bindview_PSS80000217759_HF115.zip to a temporary folder.
    Example: E:\Temp.
  2. Run the Bindview_PSS80000217759_HF115.exe from the temporary folder. The Hotfix installation wizard appears.
  3. Follow the instructions of the installation wizard to complete the installation process. 

Notes:
  • To rollback the Hotfix, double-click the Bindview_PSS80000217759_HF115.exe file. The Hotfix installation wizard will guide you through the rollback process.
  • The Hotfix installer stops Internet Information Services on the PSS server machine while the installation is in progress. During this period all the websites, including Password Self Service Employee Portal, and Admin Portal hosted on this IIS server will be unavailable. Hotfix installer will start these services when the installation is complete.

Updating DirectLogin components
Using GPO: The Hotfix installer replaces the installer for DirectLogin components on the PSS server machine. If you have deployed DirectLogin using Group Policy Objects, then you must redeploy the application.
Using Employee Portal: Employees must be notified for installing DirectLogin through the BindView Password Self Service Employee portal on their workstations.
