Problem
How to update Patch Assessment meta documents in CCS for Windows Managed Server
Symptoms
Latest Microsoft patches do not appear in Patch Assessment results.
Solution
Double click the Patch Assessment Meta Document Update applet in the RMS Console.
- Launch the RMS Console.
- In the left column, expand bv-Control for Windows.
- Click Configuration,
- In the right pane, double click Patch Assessment Meta-Document Update.
- Click OK to begin the update.
- NOTE: Make sure a file by the name " hfnetchk6b.xml " is updated in the following directory:<RMS_Console_Installation_Directory>
\Control\Windows\PatchAssessment folder. To view the date of hfnetchk6b.xml, right-click the file name, then click Properties.
- NOTE: Make sure a file by the name " hfnetchk6b.xml " is updated in the following directory:<RMS_Console_Installation_Directory>
- Create and run a new patch assessment query.
- NOTE: The Information Server (IS) must have an Internet connection to download the updates automatically.
