Problem
Are Bindview products affected by Daylight Savings Time (DST)?
Solution
Symantec Bindview gets time information from the operating system. As long as the operating system is updated to handle DST on all relevant servers and target computers, the Bindview products will work as expected.
The following products should not experience any issues in performance:
- Symantec bv-Control for UNIX
- Symantec bv-Control for Oracle
- Symantec bv-Control for NetWare
- Symantec bv-Admin for Windows
- Symantec BindView Password Self Service
- Symantec Control Compliance Suite for Databases per Managed Oracle Database
- Symantec Control Compliance Suite for Databases per Managed SQL Instance
- Symantec Control Compliance Suite for Exchange Managed User
- Symantec Control Compliance Suite for Netware Managed Server
- Symantec Control Compliance Suite for Netware Managed User
- Symantec Control Compliance Suite for UNIX Managed Server
- Symantec Control Compliance Suite for Windows Managed Server
- Symantec Control Compliance Suite for Windows Managed User
- Symantec Policy Operations Center
