How to enable debug logging ( Verbose logging ) for BV Control Oracle

Solution

To enable verbose logging for BV Control Oracle the following steps need to be followed

  1. In the registry go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\bindview\ bv-control for oracle\logger
  2. Add a new DWORD logLevel if it does not exist
  3. Edit the value for this registry key to decimal 255 for verbose logging

Once you have modified the registry with the steps mentioned above you need to re-launch the RMS console for the effect to take place. BV Control for Oracle logs would be generated in the following location <installation folder>\Symantec\RMS\Control\Oracle\Log
