The Unix agents are included on the installation media.

Navigate to the Unix Agents in the installation media;

All Unix agents are located in the installation media in the OS-specific folder that is located ;
\CCS_DataCollection\Support_Installs\bv_Control_for_UNIX directory of the DVD drive or install media.

You should see the following folders;

AIX
HP-UX-pa-risc-32
Linux ----> contains >> RedHat and SuSE
SunOS --> contains >> SunOS-i386-32 and SunOS-sparc-32

The build number consists of the last three digits of the file name.
This is the agent that will be installed on each Unix host. You can FTP the file to the Unix host or send it to your Unix administrator. The admin will use the packages to install the agents on each Unix host.

To download the installation Media;

When following either of these methods to obtain the latest version of Control Compliance Suite (CCS) Data Collection or Reporting & Analytics.

METHOD 1

1. Obtain a product serial key from Symantec Sales, Symantec Licensing, or Symantec Support.

2. Go to https://fileconnect.symantec.com.
3. Select the respective language.
4. Enter the product serial key, then follow the prompts to download the software.

METHOD 2

1. Log into the Symantec Licensing portal at http://licensing.symantec.com.

NOTE: To obtain a user ID or password for the portal, see "How to engage Symantec Licensing for help with product licensing issues" at http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH113612.

2. Under the section "Register your product and get license keys", click the New Purchase button.
3. Enter the serial number from the associates Licenses Certificate received from the initial purchase provided by Symantec Sales. Typically, these serial numbers will consist of an alpha numeric number beginning with the letter "M" followed by ten numeric digits.
4. Click the Submit button.
5. On the "Verify the serial numbers of the license to register" screen, click the Next button.
6. On the "Verify and enter information related to license registration" screen, enter your e-mail address, then click the Complete Registration button.
7. On the "Registered Licenses and Corresponding License Keys" screen, click the Get Software button to download CCS.


You will need to get the customers serial number from licensing. And the URL to download from file connect is https://fileconnect.symantec.com.

Select the Zip file.

Create a location to download the media.

ex.

C: /bvinstall media

Unzip the file.

NOTE: This can be located and named what ever you choose as long as you have efficient space to accommodate the media.

Download the install media.

After the download is complete use explorer to navigate to the Unix agents.
