Below error comes up while launching the RMS console in CCS 9.0 Data Collection.

"A critical failure occurred: error 0x4005, Description: Timeout expired, ErrorSource: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server, Native error 0x0, HelpFile:.error 0xe21, Description: Multi-step OLE DB operation generated errors. Check each OLE DBstatus value, if available. No work was done., ErrorSource: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server, Native error 0x0, HelpFile:

Error:
Code = -2147467259
Message = Unspecified Error
Source = Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Desc = Timeout Expired.

Symptoms
RMS Console on the RMS Console and Information Server machine is not opening up.

RMS Client Console also gives the same error.



Solution



Restart the Microsoft SQL Server Service and BVProcessManager Service on the RMS Console and Information Server Machine.
