When installing the Altiris Asset Management Suite Workflow Components you receive an error during the Initial System Check on the "Checking whether the asset workflows are already installed" step.
If you click on View Details you see an error similiar to below:
System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Documents and Settings\aadmin\Local Settings\Temp\Release'.
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
at System.IO.Directory.InternalGetFileDirectoryNames(String path, String userPathOriginal, String searchPattern, Boolean includeFiles, Boolean includeDirs, SearchOption searchOption)
at System.IO.Directory.GetDirectories(String path, String searchPattern, SearchOption searchOption)
Notfication Server 7.0 SP4
Workflow 7 SP2 installed on same machine
This issue is caused due to the Asset Workflow Installer reading the incorrect setting.
This issue will be addressed in a future release.
To workaround the issue prior to the updated release close any Workflow Designer windows you may have open and the Asset Workflow Pack installer and follow the steps below.1. On the Workflow Server where you are trying to install the Asset Workflow Pack, go to Start > Programs > Altiris > Workflow Designer > Tools > ToolPreferences Editor.
2. Once the ToolPreferences Editor opens, under Studio Configuration select Project Configuration in the left hand tree view.
3. Click the ellipsis after Default Deploy Directory and browse to <workflowinstalldrive>\Program Files\Altiris\Workflow Designer\WorkflowDeploy. Click OK and OK again to close the ToolPreferences Editor.
4. In order for the change made to take effect restart the Logicbase Server Extensions by right clicking on the Task Tray tool and choosing Restart Server Extensions or by restarting the Logicbase2006 service in Windows Services.
The install should now work properly.
