Could not run InstallationCheck in the Symantec Endpoint Protection package. launch path not accessible
Installation checks failed.
Environment
Symantec Endpoint Protection for Macintosh, Macintosh OS X
Cause
The installation package may have been unzipped using a tool that does not preserve file permissions settings, or the package files otherwise do not have the correct permissions. This also may be caused by unzipping the package on another platform, then copying the .mpkg file to the Macintosh.
Solution
Unzip the install package using Mac OS X's Archive Utility or the ditto command in the Terminal after first copying the file to the target Macintosh workstation.
If the .zip file has already been decompressed using other tools, permissions can be restored to the package files in the Terminal with the following command:
chmod -R 755 /path/to/package/Symantec Endpoint Protection.mpkg
Once this is done, the installation can be attempted again.
